Details of Fully Funded McCall MacBain Scholarships
The McCall McBain Scholarships are more than just financial support. You share a vision for the kind of leaders you want to be—leaders who serve others with integrity and humility, who are dedicated to lifelong learning and bridging, and who take bold, significant risks. You and your fellow scholars will go on to work on a wide range of challenges in various sectors.
- As a McCall MacBain Scholar, you will actively participate in a varied group of mentors, peers, and advisers who appreciate collaborating to find solutions to the complicated issues that both big and small communities face.
- 20 Canadian and 10 international applicants will be chosen for McCall MacBain Scholarships for the September 2023 intake, totaling up to 30 full scholarships.
- If you apply for the McCall MacBain Scholarship, you may also be eligible for other prizes. Candidates who perform well in the interview process will be considered for around 80 finalists and regional prizes.
- For the September 2023 intake, up to 20 Canadian and 10 foreign applicants may be chosen as McCall MacBain Scholars.
- Master’s degrees in any field, as well as second-entry professional undergraduate degrees (BCL/JD in law, DMD in dentistry, and MDCM in medicine), are eligible for the McCall McBain Scholarship.
Scholarship for McCall MacBain: Financial Support
- The scholarship includes housing costs of CAD 2,000 per month for the duration of the study, tuition and fees for the full-time master’s or professional program, and a transfer allowance for moving to Montreal.
- Up to 30 Finalist Awards at $10,000 each and up to 28 Regional Awards worth $5,000 will be available to Canadian applicants.
- 20 International Finalist Prizes ($20,000) are available to all other entrants, including US applicants.
Eligibility Criteria for the McCall MacBain Scholarship
- You must already possess a bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, or be on track to obtain one by August 2023.
- For entry into the McGill Master’s program, candidates must achieve minimal grade and language standards.
- The application deadline is September 21 for Canadian and US universities, as well as for graduates and foreign Canadian students. The application deadline for everyone else is August 25.
- No consideration will be given to applications received after the deadlines.
- If you are chosen for the McCall MacBain Scholarship final interviews, you must apply to at least one McGill program by the program’s application deadline, which is usually in December.
