ENS de Lyon, in collaboration with its partners, offers scholarships such as the Ampère and GRADUATE+ scholarships to outstanding international students wishing to enroll in its Master’s programs.

- Important: You must register to access the form via the provided link.
- Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
- Applications sent via email will not be accepted.
- Incomplete applications will not be reviewed – it is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure all required documents are uploaded.

- Application Review
- All applications are reviewed by the ENS de Lyon admissions committee. Results will not be communicated by phone.
- Admissions and Enrolment
- If your application is successful, you will receive a pre-enrolment letter with instructions on how to complete the enrollment process.
- Each Master’s program specifies whether it is open to international students.
- For admission into the first year of a Master’s program (M1), applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (L3 – 180 ECTS) or an equivalent qualification for students educated abroad.
- For admission into the second year of a Master’s program (M2), applicants must have completed the first year of a Master’s degree (M1 – 240 ECTS) or hold an equivalent qualification if educated abroad.

- Two reference letters (in French or English) from professors who are familiar with your work. If you are unable to upload the letters, your referees can email them to ampere.scholarship@ens-lyon.fr (make sure your name and the chosen Master’s program are clearly indicated in the document name).
- Motivation letter.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Certificates of diplomas/degrees already obtained (e.g., Bachelor’s degree). Documents must be in French or English. If your documents are in another language, you must provide an officially certified translation in French or English.
- University academic transcript. Transcripts must be in French or English. If in another language, you must provide an officially certified translation.
- Proof of current enrollment (for the current academic year). Documents are accepted in French or English only.
- Note: If the required diploma for Master’s admission is not available at the time of application, it must be submitted before the start of the academic year (this is mandatory).
Additional Documents:
- For candidates applying to a Master’s program in Arts, Humanities, Languages, or Social Sciences:
- A summary of your research project (minimum 3 pages, in French) – except for the Master in Advanced Economics, which is submitted in English.
- The reasons for your choice, your research justification in relation to previous work in the same field, methodological approach, an indicative bibliography, and a list of personal publications or participation in conferences (if applicable).
- A certificate of proficiency in French and/or English.
- For candidates applying to a Master’s program in Exact Sciences:
