Eligibility Criteria

    • Applicants must have citizenship or at least five years of current residence in the country they wish to represent during the fellowship.
    • Individuals residing in the United States are not eligible for this international program.
    • Candidates from countries where EF is not currently active must demonstrate regional impact through their work and secure a letter of recommendation from an EF global network member.

  2. Age Range:
    • Priority is given to candidates aged 32–45 at the time of the program (spring 2026).
    • Exceptional candidates slightly outside this age range may also be considered if they excel in other criteria.
  3. Language Proficiency:
    • A strong command of English is mandatory as it is the primary language of communication during the fellowship.
  4. Professional Commitment:
    • Applicants must obtain approval from their employer to take leave for the duration of the program.
    • Fellows are required to make a full-time commitment to the program, with breaks permitted only in cases of dire personal or family emergencies.
  5. Exclusions:
    • Candidates who have participated in any fellowship within two years prior to applying are not eligible.
    • Children and spouses are not allowed to accompany fellows during the program, and EF does not fund spousal travel.
