MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship Overview
The MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship supports high-achieving female students from around the world who are passionate about pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Open to international and DACA students, this scholarship is available to those currently enrolled or accepted for full-time study in a STEM degree program at an MPOWER-eligible institution in the United States or Canada.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be enrolled in or have an acceptance to a full-time degree program at an MPOWER-partnered institution in either the U.S. or Canada. Additionally, they must be eligible to study legally in the respective country:
- For U.S. study, applicants must:
- Hold a valid visa that authorizes study in the U.S.,
- Be protected under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), or
- Be a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder).
- For Canadian study, applicants must:
- Be a Canadian permanent resident, or
- Possess a valid Canadian study permit.
- Be a Canadian permanent resident, or
General Eligibility
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must identify as female
- Must be enrolled or accepted for full-time study in a STEM degree program at one of MPOWER’s partner universities, either for the remainder of an undergraduate program or in a graduate degree program
This scholarship is not available to Canadian citizens who want to study in Canada or U.S. nationals who want to study in the United States.
Documents/Material Required to Apply
To streamline the application process and reduce the burden on applicants, MPOWER requires only minimal documentation upfront. Suppose you are provisionally selected for the award. In that case, you will then need to submit a copy of your academic transcript (or admission letter) along with documents verifying your citizenship, gender, and immigration status, such as a passport and visa.
