The following are the benefits of the Avignon University Mistral Excellence Scholarship:
- 6,000 euros for the first year of the grant
- For the second year, 6,000 euros
Eligibility Criteria
Following is the eligibility criteria for the Avignon University Mistral Excellence Scholarship:
- Nationalities: Candidates of all nationalities can apply for the Avignon University Mistral Excellence Scholarship.
- Language Skills: French B2 at the very least, C1 for certain master’s degrees
- To be enrolled in an institution of higher education outside of France at the time of application (applicants enrolled at partner institutions of Avignon University will be given preference);
- To possess an excellent academic record and fulfill the language and academic requirements set forth by the Avignon University Master’s Degree faculty;
- To not have taken a break from their education for longer than a school year;
- To submit an application to enroll in Avignon University’s first or second year of a master’s program for the 2024–2025 academic year;
- Not to have a residence in France;
- Have never submitted an application for a Mistral scholarship (apart from a renewal);
- Not benefited from another scholarship to pursue the desired Master’s degree.

Documents/Material Required to Apply
- A proof of enrollment from a higher education institution outside of France at the time of application, or from the previous academic year in the case of applicants who have taken a shorter break from their studies than a year;
- Copies of every diploma earned after high school;
- A description of the grading scheme in place in the country of origin, along with copies of all transcripts and records acquired during higher education;
- Documentation proving the applicant speaks French (minimum B2 level);
- A recommendation letter from an academic at the candidate’s alma mater;
- A motivation letter, written in French, explaining the candidate’s decision to pursue a master’s degree at Avignon University and outlining their professional project;
- An updated French curriculum vitae
- For students who are citizens of the nations covered by the CampusFrance process, their CEF identification
