Serving about 1,900 students mostly as an undergraduate institution, it offers bachelor’s degrees in social work, education, and the arts. There are no classes bigger than sixty(60), and the average class size is thirty(30). St. Due to its small size, the institution is able to provide each student with individual attention, support, and opportunities that will enable them to thrive both academically and personally. Thomas University is the only fully liberal arts university in Canada, with an emphasis on undergraduate studies.

Merit-based St. Thomas Scholarships are given out in accordance with academic performance as well as extracurricular involvement in the community and school. Its scholarship program contributes to its ability to retain a community of outstanding academics and vibrant leaders. St. Thomas University Scholarships benefit you in the following ways:
Entrance Scholarships
Entrance Scholarships are awarded to first-year students who achieve academically. If you are an applicant with a minimum admission average of 80 percent (or similar), you may apply for an entrance scholarship. Scholarships for entrance range in value from $500 to $5,000, and they are renewable for students who maintain a 3.7 grade point average throughout their second, third, and fourth years of study.
Need-based Entrance Bursaries
Bursaries are available from St. Thomas University to first-time college students who demonstrate financial need. Bursaries are awarded by St. Thomas University to friends, faculty, and staff. The awards range in value from $500 to $3,000. Through their application portal, candidates for bursaries should submit a completed application form along with any supporting documentation.
Student Leaders Scholarships – Leadership
The goal of the Student Leader Scholarship program is to draw in highly influential student leaders who would blend in well with our active community. Students with admission averages between 80 and 89% will receive $3,000 in their first year, renewable at $2,000 each year for a total of $9,000. While valued at $4,000 for students who meet the admission average requirement of 90% or above in the first year, and renewable at $2,000 per year after that, for a maximum of $10,000.
Major Awards – Academic Excellence

Chancellor’s International Scholarship
Full International Tuition scholarship is yearly given to the best-ranked international first-year students. Leadership attributes will be taken into consideration in addition to academic brilliance while making the selection. A minimum 3.7 yearly average must be maintained by students. Refer to Section 4: Renewal Criteria for additional information.
President’s International Scholarship
Value varies up to the entire tuition cap and is extendable for an extra three years. Awarded yearly to top-ranking overseas students entering the first year. The only criterion for selection is academic excellence.
President’s Scholarship
Top-ranking first-year students are annually awarded a renewable scholarship and full tuition. To be eligible for renewal, students must maintain a minimum yearly average of 3.7.
Chancellor’s Scholarship
Full tuition and a single room and board. Recipients must reside in the area in order to be eligible for the room and board element of the award. Given yearly to a first-year student who demonstrates exceptional academic ability and accomplishment. Academic achievement will be the primary criterion for selection, although leadership and adaptability will also be taken into consideration. Students need to keep their yearly average at least 3.7.
Evelyn Sweezey Scholarship
A $4,500 renewable scholarship is given out to the best first-year students each year. Selection will only be made based on academic excellence. Students need to keep their yearly average at least at 3.5.
Msgr. George W. Martin Scholarship
Board and full tuition, as well as a double room Recipients must reside in the area in order to be eligible for the room and board element of the award. given yearly to first-year students with exceptional academic success and ability. Students need to keep their yearly average at least 3.7.

March 1st is the deadline for applying for renewable St. Thomas University Scholarships.
Application Procedure for the St. Thomas University Scholarships
Applicants seeking scholarships must submit an application that is completed and any necessary supporting paperwork. You can complete your scholarship application through your online application site once St. Thomas has offered an admissions offer to you. To submit your scholarship application, you must assemble the following extra materials and follow the guidelines below:
Step1: Fill out the Application Form
Once you have received an admissions offer from St. Thomas, complete a Scholarship Application Form.
Step 2: Letter
Upload a one- to two-page typewritten letter outlining your qualifications for a significant scholarship.
Step 3: Resume
Attach a resume detailing your experiences since starting high school, including any employment you may have had, honors or awards you may have received, etc.
Step 4: Reference Letter
Upload a letter of recommendation from your principal, guidance counselor, or instructor outlining your qualifications for the award. Reference letters can be emailed directly to the Admissions Office, or they can be uploaded.
