The TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship Program is an initiative of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) in Pakistan. Postgraduate students from developing countries (except Pakistan) would be able to pursue a PhD in the natural sciences with the support of this fellowship program.

Benefits of the TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship Program

A monthly stipend from ICCBS will be provided; this should be used to pay for living expenses such as food, lodging, local transportation, and any unplanned minor illnesses. There will be no foreign exchange rate conversion for the monthly stipend.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of one of the developing nations, excluding Pakistan.
  • Education: A Master’s degree in a natural science discipline is required of applicants.
  • Age: At the time of application, candidates must not be older than 35.
  • Language: English proficiency is necessary.
  • Registration and Acceptance: The ICCBS faculty member who will serve as the applicant’s project supervisor must also approve the application.
  • Must not possess a visa for either long-term or short-term residence in Pakistan or any other developed nation.
  • Be enrolled as PhD students in their home country, present proof that they will return home after the fellowship is finished, and provide the “Registration and No Objection Certificate” from the HOME university;

Documents/Material Required to Apply
