The Politecnico Di Milano Scholarships are intended for international students who have been accepted into one of the Laurea Magistrale courses on the Milano Campuses (second-level title, equivalent to a Master of Science). Specifically:
- 10 Platinum Scholarships for a total of 10,000 Euros awarded each year to the top 10 students;
- 38 Gold Scholarships worth a combined total of €5,000 per year.
Additionally, beneficiaries of scholarships will have all fees waived.
University Financial Aid
The DSU (Ditto allo Studio Universitario) is a form of student financial aid.

Politecnico Di Milano University
With around 42,000 students, Politecnico di Milano is the largest technical university in Italy. The university offers courses in engineering, architecture, and design at the undergraduate, graduate, and higher education levels. It is the oldest university in Milan and was established in 1863.
It was recognized as the 13th best university in the world in 2022 by the QS World University Rankings for the subject area “Engineering & Technology”. It was ranked sixth in the world for design, ninth for mechanical and aerospace engineering, and seventh for architecture.

Merit-Based Politecnico Di Milano Scholarships
The Politecnico di Milano awards merit-based scholarships each year to exceptionally deserving foreign applicants for entrance to Master’s degree programs. The financial aid consists of a grant and a waiver of the tuition charge and is divided into three tiers (Platinum, Gold, and Silver). There is no call for applications, but all international students who have submitted a valid language certificate by the grant deadline and have a complete admission application profile are automatically considered for the prize.
As part of the most current university internationalization strategy, there are numerous scholarships available for international students. There is no separate application for scholarships; all accepted students with a complete file (language certificate submitted by the deadline) will be immediately evaluated for any merit-based awards. Silver Scholarship
Covers all fees for the entire academic year, comparable to a tuition fee waiver. The only cost the student will incur is an administrative charge.
The number of Platinum, Gold, and Silver scholarships awarded fluctuates from year to year; there are generally more Gold and Silver scholarships available than there are Platinum scholarships.

Criteria
The criteria for Politecnico Di Milano Scholarships is based on how well your prior education matches the standards for Laurea Magistrale programs.
- GPA and academic achievements (including the portfolio when requested) are of utmost importance.
- A well-written motivation letter will significantly influence the Scholarship Awarding Committee’s choice.
- You should have been accepted into one of the Politecnico di Milano’s Laurea Magistrale programs.
- Each scholarship will pay the full amount of corresponding enrollment fees, excluding the administrative fee of about 170 euros.
