The TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship Program is an initiative of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) in Pakistan. Postgraduate students from developing countries (except Pakistan) would be able to pursue a PhD in the natural sciences with the support of this fellowship program.

Benefits of the TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship Program
A monthly stipend from ICCBS will be provided; this should be used to pay for living expenses such as food, lodging, local transportation, and any unplanned minor illnesses. There will be no foreign exchange rate conversion for the monthly stipend.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of one of the developing nations, excluding Pakistan.
- Education: A Master’s degree in a natural science discipline is required of applicants.
- Age: At the time of application, candidates must not be older than 35.
- Language: English proficiency is necessary.
- Registration and Acceptance: The ICCBS faculty member who will serve as the applicant’s project supervisor must also approve the application.
- Must not possess a visa for either long-term or short-term residence in Pakistan or any other developed nation.
- Be enrolled as PhD students in their home country, present proof that they will return home after the fellowship is finished, and provide the “Registration and No Objection Certificate” from the HOME university;
Documents/Material Required to Apply
A number of documents are needed to apply for the TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowship Program. This is an exhaustive list of the documents that are usually required:
- CV, or curriculum vitae: a thorough resume that includes your publications, research experience, academic background, and any other pertinent data.
- A certified health certificate from a licensed physician;
- Proof of English language competency: Evidence of your ability to communicate in English, such as your TOEFL or IELTS results, or a transcript from your university if English was the primary language of teaching.
- Acceptance ICCBS letter received upon application
- Two to three letters of recommendation from professional or academic references who can vouch for your credentials and research aptitude are required.
- Letters of recommendation: Reference letters need to be written on business letterhead and AFFIDADED
- Research Idea: A concise and comprehensive research proposal that outlines the goals, approach, and anticipated results of the suggested study
